How to Register and Randomise a Patient on the Trial

The registration and randomisation system is an online service accessible from any web browser.

To use this you will need to have been granted access to the service by the trial team, to obtain this please email the CTRU inbox. The trial team will provide you with a PIN to be used along with your email to register for the randomisation service.

Here is the homepage for the 24 hour online randomisation service. For the first time using the service, click the register button. Here your email, PIN and desired password should be entered. Once done you will receive an email message confirming your registration for the service. You can now log into begin registering and randomising patients.

To do so, return to the home page, click Login and enter your details. After this the following page will appear.

To begin registering a patient click Start. Select the service for the trial you are interested in (POINTER-PC). Select registration and randomisation following this. From here a series of questions will need to be answered for the patient being registered and randomised. Note that if the patient is considered ineligible from any of these questions the registration process will be unable to continue.

After having completed this a summary table of the details entered will be shown for your review. If any of these need changing click the back button near the top left of the page at any time. If you are happy with these go ahead and click the submit button at the bottom of the page. The patient will now be registered and randomised to the trial, a confirmation email will be sent through to you once this has been completed.
