HEALS2 is a clinical trial which aims to understand whether use of compression bandaging or hosiery reduces the time it takes for wounds to heal by themselves after surgical removal of a keratinocyte skin cancer on the lower leg.
At least 20 hospitals across the UK will be taking part and we aim to invite 396 people to take part in the study between February 2024 and December 2025.
HEALS2 is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR151863), Sponsored by the University of Leeds and is supported by the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network (UKDCTN).
