DOMINO-DFU closed for recruitment as of 31/08/2025. The follow-up phase ended on 28/02/2026 and it is now in the analysis phase.

DOMINO-DFU is a clinical trial which aims to understand;

  • How common osteomyelitis (an infection in the bone beneath a diabetic foot ulcer) is
  • What information clinicians use to make a diagnosis of osteomyelitis
  • What are the outcomes for people who are diagnosed with osteomyelitis
