MODULATE Privacy Notice

This webpage was created by the team at the Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU), University of Leeds. The University of Leeds is responsible for what data is collected, what it is used for and making sure it is used correctly and legally (this means they are called the ‘data controller’). The contact details you provide via this website will be stored securely in an email account and on a database at CTRU. Only staff working on the MODULATE study will have access to this information. If you are potentially eligible for the study, we share your data with the participating hospital that you choose from the list provided for the purpose of arranging a call with you to discuss further eligibility assessments.

If you are a member of the NIHR BioResource, we ask that provide us with your NIHR BioResource ID number. We routinely report ID numbers to the NIHR BioResource so that they can track their members’ participation.

After discussions with your local hospital, if the study is not suitable for you, or you decide not to take part, we will remove your contact details from our systems, usually within three months of filling in the contact form.

If you do go on to take part, your data will be securely archived for a minimum of 15 years after the end of the study and arrangements to securely destroy the data will be made. We will only collect your contact details for the purposes of MODULATE and will only use it for this study and not for any other purpose.
