Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Working Group

We have built an infrastructure to support meaningful PPIE throughout our research, which includes an institute wide PPIE policy and guidelines, and a small team of engagement specialists. We also have a PPIE working group, made up of staff and members of the public. The working group aims to embed high quality, appropriate PPIE within all our research, through a focus on the following strategic objectives:

  • Build PPIE capacity and confidence amongst staff and public contributors.
  • Improve PPIE monitoring and evaluation.
  • Improve equality, diversity and inclusion within PPIE.
  • Develop and evaluate innovate PPIE methods.
  • Develop and embed public engagement and dissemination approaches.
