Welcome to the FOxTROT Research website
The aim of all the projects in our international FOxTROT research programme is to improve bowel cancer treatment, making it more effective and kinder for patients with Stage 2 or Stage 3 cancer.
Our first FOxTROT research showed that an alternative approach, while using the same standard, anti-cancer (chemotherapy) medicines used by the NHS, could be more effective and provide a number of benefits to patients. More information is given within this website.
This website is intended to help:
a) Newly diagnosed patients, their families and carers who want to know more about the FOxTROT research programme.
b) Healthcare professionals and researchers .
The FOxTROT programme is sponsored by the University of Leeds and is conducted by the Clinical Trials Research Unit with a multidisciplinary Trial Management Group.
